Dominiche - Good Resource on Flipping Websites?
A while back, I wrote about the possibility of flipping websites as a business model. It was spurred by my strange interest in watching TV shows about flipping real estate (I don’t know why I like them but for whatever reason, I have to watch them). While I’m sure a lot more people had the idea first, the shows spurred an idea in my mind - why can’t the ideas of real estate flipping be applied to web site property?
It’s something that has been on the back burner of my mind for about the past year - buying, rehabbing, and then selling virtual real estate. But like I always say, I’m too lazy (not Lazy) and I haven’t gotten around to investing some time in it. I think that one of my concerns has been that I can’t turn it into a “Lazy” Business. If you watch the television shows about real estate flipping, it’s a stressful business - tight deadlines, inconsistent vendors, different challenges each time. Definitely not something to “automate”.
That being said, I think there is potential efficiencies to be gained in virtual real estate:
- Using systems to find websites to purchase
- Having employees with specific jobs who will handle the changes to websites
- Step-by-step checklists on buying, rehabbing, and then selling sites
- Earning income with site before selling is different than real estate in that you are not under as much a time crunch. No problem in buy-and-hold.
Is Dominiche that System?
Anyway, I digress a bit. This post is actually about, Dominiche, a new system from Internet Marketer, Ed Dale. It seems like Ed was one of the people who came up with the ideas long before I thought of it myself (trust me, whenever you think you had an original idea, just search a little bit and you’ll be amazed how far behind the curve you really are).
Ed created a training course around buying websites, rehabbing them, and selling them. It was originally a standalone program but has been integrated with Stompernet, a very experience (but I believe, very good) Internet Business Training Center.
If you go to the website, you can sign up for and go through their introductory marketing campaign. For one, it’s a great lesson in auto-responder marketing. But even if you don’t buy the system, they have some very interesting ideas.
Buyer Beware?
The one problem is that the program is over $2000 so it’s not for those low on funds. And you always have to be wary of Internet Marketers selling information products in this style. It’s usually full of hype and a lot of content, but in the end, you don’t always feel like you got what you hoped for.
All that being said, I think there are some positives.
- I actually feel better with it at that price than say $300. By charging that much money, there is higher perceived value. That is a great lesson for a future day on the advantages of higher prices - higher perceived value, but it usually is true.
- There is a money-back guarantee. These are obviously put in place as an attempt to remove all obstacles in purchasing and they don’t want you to execute them but it does make you feel assured.
- Being part of Stompernet is a good thing. That company has a strong enough reputation already that by taking Dominiche in their program, you can be more confident in it.
- If you’re planning on making a serious run at investing in websites, some of the tools/tips, will surely save you enough money to make it well worth it. Even if you don’t follow it through 100%, there are always forms, processes, ideas, that make programs like these worth the price - especially when you’ll be working in much higher dollar amounts like flipping web sites.
I’m going to order the program once I complete a few programs that I’m working on now. I would much rather spend the money on the program now then spending the time trying to figure out a lot of the processes myself. I think you should definitely check out the sales pitch at the very least for some good ideas on how to effectively market products and services
